When meeting marine mammals, information about the life of the animals is of course very interesting. When one observes the animals, however, another level, namely the emotional level, is often addressed. Today we had two different encounters with two different schools of Bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) on our boat Ribeira Brava. The first group walked relaxed along the coast. Such a calm, serenity and presence emanated from them. They were in absolute OM. In the following group there were some small calves that were happy and active. Our guests were able to take three beautiful messages home with them for this new year: “Breathe and treat yourself to breaks”, “Be present in the now”, “Enjoy your being in life”.
In the afternoon, not only our two boats, but also Short-finned pilot whales (Globicephala macrorhynchus) and Bottlenose dolphins were together in the same area. Afterwards we had the chance to observe Short-beaked common dolphins (Delphinus delphis). So we had as well a nice afternoon on the sea.
